web three point zero

While researching links in my nifty new Zemanta admin sidebar I stumbled across a link to Adaptive Path. They have presented Aurora as their contribution for the MozillaLabs initiative “The Concept Series”. I think that the possibilities (both real and implified) presented here for a context driven intuitive and ubiquitous “personal-space” are going to present graphic designers with the next real innovative leap in technology. A giant leap that will change the way we work, I remember seeing Photoshop 1.0 on the first macs – I was still a Student back then – and comparing what I could achieve “physically” and what was possible “digitally” and being immediately convinced that here was the future…
The examples and situations shown in the videos are cheesy. I think that should this come to a Marketing Situation they will need to concentrate their efforts more on convincing the (classical) First-Movers, (the power-users and evangelists) before moving on to the stereotyped “silver surfers” and “home users”. All the same the principles presented here with Aurora represent the future of the way we will use, experience and benefit from the NextGenWeb.
Wisdump has some nice resources on this subject head over there and check em out…
